The most used incenses by the Taitas from the Colombian Amazon in the Ayahuasca/Yage ceremonies, are copal and incenses that are based on bitter plants like rue, abre caminos (fittonia albivenis), grano de oro (tithonia diversifolia), white sage (salvia apiana), cedar, palo santo (bursera graveolens), cinnamon, amongst others. We also use incenses used in catholic churches like myrrh, styrax officinale and lavandula in powder.
